Pinching Pennies

Le sigh.

Money is a little tight right now - which is no big deal for the time being.  In fact, it kind of challenges me to find great bargains and entertain myself for free.

First, I went on a run/walk with the neighbor dog, Kali:

This is pre-run.  She is obviously excited....  Also, she's a decent jogger, but she's a little fragile if you couldn't tell.  Gotta make sure not to step on her by accident.

Later, I made a trip to the thrift store.  I refrained from buying actual clothing,  but I did pick up a few accessories for fifty cents each.  Awesome.

This watch is broken, as in it doesn't work.  I decided to get it anyway, because I thought it made my wrist look dainty.  What a woman.  Also, 9:08 is a great time, so who cares?  It's right twice a day, right?  Wokka Wokka.

Then I decided, "I really need a necklace with a zebra carved inside an egg(ish) shape." Done:

Understated earrings? Check!

Headed home before my gas tank clicked over to the "red" danger zone.  Totally made it.

Then... while taking pictures of my tiny pieces of cheap happiness, I discovered something exciting:

I TOTALLY inherited my dad's auburn locks (when the sun is hitting my head just right).  Hey, it only took 25 years! (and me standing in direct sunlight...)

Also, it turns out I take after him in the "awkward, goofy smile" department as well.  Guh.
